“There is no doubt that I would recommend Purasol”
Purasol installed a pioneering thin film flexible-panel solar energy system to an off-grid vacation house, half an hour’s walk from the nearest road in Limon province.
Edsart Besier says he chose flexible panels because: “It’s in a remote place so they need to be thief-proof. They are glued to the roof so it’s impossible to steal them.”
Edsart chose Purasol on a friend’s recommendation, saying also “they are the only suppliers of glue-on laminated panels.” He describes their installation by Purasol as “very professional and very smooth. There were no problems.”
Would he recommend Purasol? “Yes, absolutely. The product is one side of things, but also the technical support is good. There is no doubt I would always recommend Purasol.”
The installation was part of the “Refugio Natural Carbon” project, 4km south of Hone Creek. This is a 62 hectare property much of which is dedicated to forest conservation, on which a sustainable living community will be set up. The ultimate objective is to develop 15 houses on site with sustainable construction materials, powered by wind or solar energy. 2 houses already provide solar energy, the first step in constructing a carbon neutral community.
